Liam is a performance coach and sports scientist specialising in the development of endurance cyclists across all levels of the sport.
He combines applied coaching experience with a strong scientific foundation, blending the art and science of coaching to help athletes maximise their performance. Liam currently works with the NSN Cycling Team, supporting professional riders in both training and competition environments.
Alongside his coaching, Liam is undertaking a PhD at Loughborough University, integrating cutting-edge research directly into his work with athletes to ensure training strategies are both evidence-based and practically effective.
As a former UCI professional cyclist with nearly a decade of international racing experience, he brings a deep understanding of the demands of the sport — from performance optimisation to the realities of racing at the highest level.
Liam also recognises the challenges of balancing training with work, family, and life commitments. His approach is centred around building sustainable, effective training that fits the athlete — not the other way around.
