Meet the team behind Holohan Coaching
Founder & Head Coach
Liam Holohan
I like to bring the art and science of coaching together. Working as a coach for Israel-Premier Tech and having raced internationally as a UCI pro for almost a decade, I understand the ins and outs of the sport. I also love the science behind coaching and am working towards a BSc(Hons) in sport and exercise science. Being a husband, father, and business owner, I can relate to athletes with other commitments, ensuring the training fits with you, not you fitting with the training!

As a semi-professional cyclist, I have trained and competed alongside many elite athletes and coaches over the past decade. The passion to be the best at whatever I’m doing motivates me to learn everything about my performance and how this can be affected through appropriate training, nutrition, and recovery. I have continued to progress my understanding through my BSc in Sport Science, which led to my more focused MSc in Applied Sport and Exercise Physiology. The combination of my academic knowledge and my personal experiences as an athlete allow me to provide expert advice and guidance to all levels of athletes. I am a firm believer in empowering all athletes to have control of their destiny. Providing the appropriate support and guidance allows the athlete to grow and develop their social and athletic ability in their sport or discipline.

I am a current Elite level cyclist racing for UCI continental team Saint Piran. Previously, I've spent several seasons living and racing in Europe at the UCI level, competing in races across the flatlands of Belgium to the mountain passes of France. I've raced against some of the best cyclists in the world, picking up a vast wealth of knowledge and experience of the European racing scene. ABCC accredited, I've had two years of coaching experience working with cyclists worldwide.

Alex Braybrooke
I am a former professional cyclist who has an extensive knowledge of cycling. During my racing career, I spent time racing for the Lotto Soudal Development Team and the British outfit Swift Carbon Pro Cycling. Having stopped racing in 2021 to focus on an MSci in Physiotherapy, I've combined my knowledge of cycling and physiology to get the best from my athletes. When not studying or coaching, I work with the Great Britain cycling team as a soigneur. In my spare time, I enjoy exploring new areas of the sport, such as bike packing and gravel riding.

I am passionate about high performance and utilizing my training, racing, sports science, and psychology knowledge to deliver the most effective training for the individual. Having raced and trained with some of the best riders in the world, I understand the sport's demands, from the key components off the bike to putting all the training and preparation together on race day. Studying Sport & Exercise Science at Loughborough University and working alongside the world-class coaching team at Israel Premier Tech has provided me with invaluable experience and allowed me to continue developing my coaching skills so I can unlock the full potential of every athlete.
